Who We Are
Ace Kids Golf is the premier east bay junior golf program.
Our mission is to create positive and productive citizens in the community through youth development, life skills, and educational opportunities using the game of golf.
Ace Kids Golf on average serves up to 900 underserved youth annually from the ages of 5-18. Since 1998 we have introduced over 8000 Oakland youth to the world of golf.

Under Armour and Stephen Curry partnered with Ace Kids Golf through Eat Learn Play Foundation. Steph Curry and Under Armour developed a special limited edition shoe (only 100 pairs) inspired by the Masters and donated 100% of the proceeds to Ace Kids Golf. "Warriors star Stephen Curry showed off more than his golf game at the recent American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe and Bay Area youth have reason to celebrate. Prior to starting his first round, Curry released a limited edition drop of his signature sneaker. The newest version--Under Armour Curry 7--was inspired by the par-5 13th hole at Augusta National, which is named Azalea. Along with floral accents, the shoe features a bright green and pink colorway."

Ace Kids Golf opens our own portal to sign youth up for the NCGA Youth on Course program. For $5 or less, youth can play golf courses all across the country. It costs $10 to register. Youth will receive a ghin# to track their handicap, opportunities for scholarships, internships, junior tournaments, and paid caddie positions. Ace Kids Golf is invited to be featured in Under Armour's commercial starring 3x NBA Champion Steph Curry. Youth from Ace Kids Golf were provided new and unreleased Curry Brand UA Range Unlimited golf gear to wear in the commercial and on the golf course. They had an opportunity to play golf and interact with the 6-time NBA All-Star. "Steph Curry is awesome and his clothes are awesome. I was in a video with him and we had on the same clothes. I hope I can play him again in golf," said Colin.

Ace Kids Golf hires PGA Teaching Professional, Tony Canedo as Director of Instruction.
Tony has been a great asset to our team. Our staff and families are excited about his curriculum and teaching methods.
Bio: Having taught golf for over 15 years to all levels and ages, Tony’s philosophy in teaching golf is simple: Golf is a skill sport, so learn the skills. No matter when you picked up the game, learn correctly, learn early, and keep learning. Grounded in the fundamentals of the golf swing, Tony’s goal isn’t only to create ball-strikers but to teach how to play the game, to be self-reliant, confident, and to inspire his students to reach their full potential. Golf isn’t about the perfect swing. It’s about the perfect swing for you. Tony believes in teaching the entire game from ball-striking to course-management, mutual respect and sportsmanship, and teaching skills for troubleshooting and mental toughness.

Ace Kids Golf launched our inaugural PGA Jr. League Golf in fall 2020. We had 20 players and 5 teams. Each team had a practice and a match for 6 weeks. All of the participants had a great time competing and enjoying their friends. The Champions of our first league were the Little Giants. Congratulations to them and we look forward to their participation in spring 2021.

A TRIBUTE TO GOLF’S BLACK PIONEERS Under Armour Curry 6 Golf Shoes Worn & Signed by Stephen Curry With only two pairs like it in the world, these shoes are truly a collector's item for any sneakerhead and/or golf aficionado. Stephen Curry wore these exclusively made shoes on Saturday, July 11th while playing in the second round of the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship in Lake Tahoe. The footwear – customized by DezCustomz – features a unique design inspired by the pioneers of golf who broke down barriers for Black communities within the sport. These individuals – Charlie Sifford, Lee Elder, Calvin Peete, Althea Gibson – will always be remembered for their unbelievable play on the course but most importantly their breakthrough in culture off the course. Proceeds from this auction will support the Ace Kids Golf Program.

Eat Learn Play has also donated over 200 pairs of brand new Under Armour Golf Shoes for our program participants. "These shoes are very comfortable and the spikes really grip the grass when you swing your clubs," says Brenton. "This is such an excellent opportunity for our youth to have access to quality shoes as well as quality equipment. This is also a morale booster for our youth," says Preston Pinkney, Ace Kids Golf Program Director.
2022 Program Year Goals
Our goal for the 2021 program year is to reach over 850 youth through our year-round junior golf academies, PGA Jr League expansion, girls-only golf clinics, and hosting of our 4 quarterly junior golf tournaments for up to 100 youth called "Ace Kids Golf Junior Championship presented by 2K Foundations".
About Golf:
The game of golf is unique to each participant. It's challenging, frustrating, and rewarding. Golf is an individual sport that differs from traditional team sports like basketball and football. Golf teaches mental discipline, eye and body coordination, and the development to swing a club that's unique to one's own ability to play.
The game encompasses multiple attributes including honesty and integrity. Our youth learn to secure and anchor their ability to apply self-perseverance on and off the golf course. This increases their potential to commit to and attain their goals.
College scholarships for young men and women of color who play golf are readily available. HBCU's (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) recruit students from other countries to play on their golf teams because there are not enough qualified athletes in the United States.
